On Easter Sunday 2020, the COVID-19 crisis made it impossible to hold the traditional commemoration of the Easter Rising at the Republican Plot in Sligo Cemetery. The ceremony was instead held online. The event was chaired by Sligo Councillor Declan Bree and an address was given by video from Brussels by MEP Clare Daly. This is the audio of her speech.
